TOOTING & MITCHAM United and Crystal Palace have announced an exciting new development together.

The two clubs’ community programmes have announced a new partnership which will initially see the provision of high-quality sporting opportunities for the local community, starting with football coaching over the Easter period.

Coaching will take place from Monday April 8 to Friday April 12 and use the ultra-modern facilities at the KNK Stadium, home of Tooting and Mitcham United FC,.

Further projects will then be rolled out to support key local priorities such as education, youth engagement and healthy lifestyles.

This continues the successful link between the two clubs which currently involves the Crystal Palace FC development squad, previously home to such players as Wilfried Zaha, Nathaniel Clyne and Victor Moses, playing a selection of their Barclays U21 Premier League games at the KNK Stadium.

The new community partnership between the two clubs kicks off with a special roadshow at the KNK on Bishopsford Road on Thursday April 4 from 10am to 3pm.

There will be a range of activities for boys and girls aged 5-14 years old, including the fantastic inflatable ‘Hardest Shot’ speed cage, prizes and gifts, penalty competitions, a target goal, free-kick wall, tournaments and much much more.

The event costs just £2 per participant for the whole day.

The roadshow is part of the Crystal Palace FC Foundation Easter holiday course programme running throughout the Easter break of  April 2 to April 12 in Merton, Bromley, Croydon and Sutton.

Steve Adkins, director of Tooting and Mitcham United FC said: “TM United are thrilled by the new partnership with the Crystal Palace FC Foundation and Crystal Palace FC.

“We like what Palace stand for and feel their community aims are a hand-in-glove fit with ours. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the facility for the launch on the April 4.”
