BASFORD United held on to claim a 1-1 draw against Gainsborough Trinity at Greenwich Avenue in a game the visitors were left wondering what might have been.
Both keepers were called into action early on, the first being Saul Deeney in the Basford net who made a spectacular save to divert Will Lancaster’s header onto the post from close range, before a corner at the other end saw Dylan Wharton save well from Matt Thornhill’s effort.
