‘Woke’ extras not welcome in grassroots

WHATEVER your political persuasion, does our world-beating successful football industry really need more regulations? Additions are afoot by the current administration to the Football Governance Bill that was introduced by the previous government.
These may include the introduction of “woke” powers even including forcing grass-roots football at Non-League level to comply with draconian and expensive rules on DEI and net zero targets. This is the last thing clubs need.
