MACCLESFIELD fans subjected former head coach Robbie Savage to a barrage of abuse on his return to the Leasing.com Stadium, writes TONY BUGBY.
Savage, who guided Macc to the Northern Premier League, Premier title in April during a record-breaking campaign, quit the club and was appointed Forest Green Rovers’ head coach less than a fortnight ago.
There was surprise when Savage turned up for Macc’s first pre-season friendly against Mansfield Town yesterday.
