STONES’ DATE AT SHAY IN SWITCH

FC HALIFAX Town’s first home game of the season has been switched to Wealdstone to allow the completion of their new surface at The Shay.
Recent seasons have been dogged by pitch issues at the National League side’s council-owned ground.
Calderdale Council plan to sell the loss-making ground to Ken Davy who wants to temporarily relocate his Super League club Huddersfield Giants there alongside the Shaymen and Halifax’s rugby league club.
