Jason Whittingham has been urged to sell Morecambe in the next 24 hours or see the club go out of business – with Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy also joining the calls.

A joint-statement from the club’s minority shareholders and prospective buyers Panjab Warriors this week revealed the club has no cash in the bank and have had to close their academy down due to invalid insurance.
Players and staff are unable to pay for travel, while “parents and player agents are requesting releases to leave the club immediately”.
