Adom’s strike ends Quakers’ winning run

TWO late Gateshead goals brought an end to a threadbare Darlington side’s winning run in pre-season.
Quakers were without a handful of injured players, plus Heed refused permission for on-loan shot-stopper Peter Jameson and Will McGowan to feature.
Gateshead made a blistering start, taking a second-minute lead when new signing Dom Telford’s shot beat goalkeeper Matthew Bancroft.
The free agent was almost picking the ball out of the net again after six minutes, but Harry Chapman’s strike struck a post.
