Mystery man nets the Minstermen’s winner

YORK City earned a narrow win as they defeated National League North outfit Spennymoor Town at The Brewery Field.
The Minstermen were good value for their victory against a determined Moors outfit, with the only goal of the game steered home by a City trialist just after half-time.
One of the favourites for the National League, York started well and almost stole in front inside two minutes when ex-City player Olly Dyson screwed a shot against one of his own posts.
