BOWER IS RELEASED BY LIONS

MANAGER Mark Bower has paid the price for Guiseley’s poor run of form with his job.
Bower had led the Lions to just 10 wins from their last 33 games in all competitions.
It ended his second spell in charge at Nethermoor Park having returned in April 2024.
Last season, he steered the club to the FA Cup first round and the NPL Premier play-off final, where they were edged out by Worksop Town.
A club statement read: “The points return and performances over the last 28 league games [are] not befitting of a club wanting to challenge at the top end of the table.”
