STALWART WARD IS AXED

NORTHERN League strugglers Marske United have sacked manager Nick Ward after 10 years on the coaching staff.
Appointed to the top job last May, Ward has departed along with coaches Lee Guess and Nathan Massingham with the side in 17th place.
A Seasiders statement said: “The decision was made reluctantly but felt a change was necessary at this stage of the season. Performances and overall results during the current campaign have fallen short of expectations.”
