KIDSGROVE were ten minutes away from taking the tie to a replay before a persistent Kettering side broke through with a moment of class.
Lindon Meikle’s pile driver from 20 yards out left keeper David Parton for dead as the ball screamed into the roof of the net.
Meikle would turn provider five minutes later as his cross from the right was firmly met by Aaron O’Connor on 85 minutes to seal the win.
The previous 80 minutes also belonged to Kettering, with the visitors rarely threatening in the hosts’ final third.
