RADCLIFFE edged out Stalybridge Celtic. Both sides started brightly but it was Radcliffe who struck early on.
Scott Metcalfe’s brilliantly whipped free-kick found the head of top goal scorer Ben Wharton who nodded home. Radcliffe then dominated until the break.
The Bridge came out kicking in the second half, piling the pressure on the Boro.
However, they couldn’t find a way past Ollie Martin, who pulled off some spectacular saves.
And Jon Macken’s side weathered the storm to reach the next round.
