CHESHAM eventually made it through to the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round, but they were made to work hard by a battling Fleet side from two levels below.
All the goals came in the second half after an opening period in which both sides had chances but failed to take them.
Fleet keeper Chris Harris made two fine saves to deny Mark Kirby and Dave Pearce, while at the other end Ben Goode dived to keep out Bradley Wilson’s shot and another Wilson effort just missed the target.
