SHAUN Jeffers struck twice as St Albans City cruised to a comfortable win over neighbours Hitchin Town.
The hosts took the lead through Jeffers, who slotted past the goalkeeper with ease. The forward doubled his tally eight minutes later from the spot after Max Ryan brought him down, resulting in a red card for the defender.
The Canaries failed to really test the hosts, who put the result beyond doubt with a trio of late strikes.
