NIALL WATSON and George Newell completed a second-half comeback as Southport saw off a determined Morpeth.
The NPL side led at halftime through Liam Henderson but missed a second-half penalty at a crucial time.
The Port should have led early on, Marcus Carver breaking clear but shooting wide.
The visitors took the lead on 19 minutes, Henderson heading home.
And they would have doubled their lead, but Jack Foalie’s penalty was saved by Tony McMillan.
Manager’s son Watson headed Southport level from Matt Challoner’s 59th-minute cross.
