Keeper Johnny Saltmer saved Dale Korie-Butler’s shoot-out spot-kick, then denied Ethan Van-Aston to allow veteran Nicky Hunt to score the winner.
Quakers took a deserved lead on 29 minutes, Adam Campbell crossing from the right for Luke Charman to head firmly home.
Prescot’s Matthew Corness hit the post with a low drive. And Alex McMilan’s neat 56th-minute finish made it 1-1.
