MORPETH TOWN 4 LANCASTER CITY 1

■ MORPETH Town eased into the next round with a thumping win over Lancaster City at Craik Park.
The Highwaymen took the lead early on through Carl Finnigan’s close-range finish before being pegged back by Paul Dawson’s 13th-minute near-post header.
The game turned in the 42nd minute when Niall Cowperthwaite was judged by the assistant referee to have pulled the collar of a free-running Finnigan as he cut across the penalty area, resulting in a straight red card and a spotkick which was dispatched by Ryan Donaldson.
