SUBSTITUTE Danny Newton’s scrambled effort was enough for Solihull Moors to advance to the first round at the expense of a Hereford side who did everything but score.
The home side had a great opportunity to open the scoring in the 13th minute. But after beating the offside trap, Miles Storey blazed over.
At the other end, a couple of slips by the Hereford defence led to James Ball seeing his shot saved by Jordan Wright before Kyle Hudlin shot wide.
