■ IN a game where neither of these sides had won a league game yet this season, Barton ran out the worthy winners thanks to a Taylor Rhiney brace.
The game was played at a frantic pace throughout and early chances for both sides went astray.
In the 18th minute, Rhiney found space on the edge of the area to fire home.
His and Barton’s second goal came just before the break with a low hard strike that found the bottom corner.
