ILKESTON TOWN advanced into the next round after a L’varn Brandy goal secured victory.
The opening 10 minutes were cautious, with neither team gaining a strong foothold in the game. Tom Marshall had the game’s first effort on target after 11 minutes, but his looping header was comfortably saved by Alfie Roberts in the Heanor net.
Max Thornberry thought he broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 19th minute, but his powerful strike from close range was saved emphatically by Matt Yates.
