TRIUMPHANT Spalding United manager Jimmy Dean invoked the 1990 World Cup after his team scored a late winner at Ilkeston.
Sub Maniche Sano-Sani twisted to head home a free-kick to the delight of visiting Tulips fans sheltering from the rain.
Dean compared it to England star David Platt’s volley against Belgium and added: “That’s what it was like, a quality goal.
“People say that was the best World Cup, with the games and the Italian music. I was seven and from then it was football for me.”
