AKHEEM Rose bagged two goals as Hednesford Town knocked out ten-man Basford United.
The Pitmen started the stronger of the two sides and took the lead in the eighth minute when Joel Taylor crossed the ball into the box.
Jake Jervis nearly got on the end of it, but the ball ran through for Rose to fire home.
The game settled down and went a bit flat until Hednesford’s Dom McHale had a shot saved by Matt Yates. A minute later Louis Nicholson went in the book for a foul on McHale.
