■ BERKHAMSTED saw off St Ives Town and moved into the second qualifying round courtesy of a brace of goals either side of half-time.
After an early St Ives cross went inches wide, the Comrades took control, but they could not find a way past the inspired Ollie Taylor in the St Ives goal.
He made many excellent saves until, in the 43rd minute, a long pass over the back four released Adam Watkins and he lifted the ball over the exposed Taylor.
