THE Motormen were playing in the first qualifying round for the first time since 2011-12 as they fell to a defeat against Royston Town.
It was the away side who took an early lead as Thomas Avgoustidi got free down the right flank before crossing for Kian Harness, who headed home unmarked.
Redbridge’s Jack Chawner was winning the midfield battle and the equaliser eventually came when Wesley Mbedzu won the race to the ball against oncoming keeper Jamie Head and found the back of the net from a wide angle.
