■ MATTY Willshaw’s double helped West Auckland Town past Wythenshawe and into September’s second qualifying round.
At a blustery Darlington Road Stadium, West went ahead through Willshaw late in the first half as he guided home Craig Moody’s precise pass from close range.
The same combination then doubled the Northern League side’s advantage shortly after half-time as the striker converted a Moody cross that evaded visiting goalkeeper Ryan Forde.
