Washington posts his double for tip-top Town

MATLOCK Town secured a comfortable passage through as they saw off Carlton Town at the Proctor Cars Stadium.
The outcome was never guaranteed until stoppage time when Matlock added two more goals to their early opener, Carlton having looked a threat throughout but unable to nick a goal.
Matlock began the game strongly and scored the opening goal on 14 minutes, as Tommy Elliott was clipped in the penalty area and Conor Washington stepped up to slot home from the spot.
