DEAL TOWN 2 EGHAM TOWN 1

■ DEAL Town progressed to the third qualifying Rround for the first time since 1997-98 with a narrow win over Egham Town.
After a cagey first half an hour, it was the hosts who went in front at Charles Sports Ground when Egham defender Billy Adcock put the ball in his own net.
However, last season’s Combined Counties champions were soon on level terms – with Ibrahim Nagheen making it 1-1 after 37 minutes as the tie looked evenly poised at the break.
With both teams looking to progress, it would be the Kent side who would advance to the next stage...
