TONBRIDGE avoided a cup upset – at least for now – as they were taken to a replay by Steyning.
After controlling the opening 20 minutes and taking a 17th-minute lead through Marcus Sablier, the Angels were reduced to ten men on the stroke of half-time when skipper Scott Wagstaff was shown a second yellow.
Tonbridge maintained a control in the early part of the second half before they went two up after 75 minutes when Bumni Babajide crossed for Sablier to slide the ball home.
