Which non-league sides will take part in the FA Cup second qualifying round?

The Emirates FA Cup second qualifying round draw has been made, with 80 ties set to take place across the weekend of Saturday 19 September.

Clubs from across the National League System are now one step closer to the first round proper, with the second qualifying round bringing a fresh batch of intriguing ties.

The draw follows an action-packed first qualifying round which produced several notable results, including AFC Greenwich Borough’s remarkable 4-3 comeback victory over Sittingbourne in their debut campaign.

The ninth-tier side recovered from 3-1 down before Stefan Payne struck the winner in the 91st minute to send Greenwich through.

There was also a memorable day for fellow ninth-tier debutants SE Dons, who beat Erith Town 2-0, while Snodland Town knocked out higher-ranked Margate with a 3-1 victory.

Knowle will have a second bite at the cherry after they rescued a 1-1 draw against Worcester City, while Shildon also earned a replay against Warrington Town after coming within 15 minutes of a famous victory.

Bury were among the biggest winners of the round, hammering Wythenshawe 8-0 while Cambridge City thrashed Maldon & Tiptree 6-1.

When will the second qualifying round take place?

The second qualifying round is scheduled for Saturday 19 September 2026, with the default kick-off time set for 3pm.

Fixtures can be moved to the Friday or Sunday with prior agreement, while replays must be played by Thursday 24 September, with a 7.45pm kick-off deadline.

When are the first qualifying round replays?

There are 32 replays still to be played this week, with those ties deciding the final places in the second qualifying round.

The majority are scheduled for Tuesday 8 September, with three replays taking place on Monday and a further three on Wednesday this week.

What is the prize money?

There is £3,375 on offer for every club that wins in the second qualifying round, while losing clubs will receive £1,125.

The prize fund increases again in the next round, with third qualifying round winners receiving £5,625.

When is the next round?

The third qualifying round will be played on Saturday 3 October, followed by the fourth qualifying round on Saturday 17 October.

The first round proper is then scheduled for Saturday 7 November, when clubs from the EFL will enter the competition.
