■VCD’S early domination proved worthless as Bedford prevailed.
The Vickers were getting forward with ease thanks to their pace as keeper Kyle Forster spilled Kemo Darboe’s shot and denied Omar Lawson’s follow up.
Things looked comfortable for VCD until Jemale McKenzie-Lowe shot low past Joe Mant to put the visitors ahead against the run of play.
Darboe thought he had levelled with a shot that hit the side of the netting.
The second half was a stalemate with much of the play confined to midfield, with just a couple of half-chances on show.
