■A CLINICAL performance from Atherton Collieries ensured their progress into the next round.
Iain Howard’s inch perfect free-kick found Kris Holt after 19 minutes to open the scoring for the visitors.
Despite pressure from the hosts, Collieries found a second through defender Liam McFadyen as he diverted into his own net.
Howard turned from provider to finisher with ten minutes to go and rule out any comeback as he met Ben Hardcastle’s cross.
Hardcastle then riffled an effort which squirmed under the goalkeeper in injury time.
