TRAFFORD battled their way through with a hard-fought win.
Colne dominated possession in the first half, although both Danny Wilkins and Darius Palma missed chances to put Trafford ahead.
On the stroke of half-time, a frantic goalmouth scramble saw Oliver Wood head onto the bar and Trafford’s Chris Palmer clear off the line.
Trafford sub Aaron Burns finally broke the deadlock on the hour when he headed home Sam Heathcote’s beautifully-flighted cross and Wilkins made it two when he tapped in a Matty Bryan centre.
