CHASETOWN recovered from the early blow of conceding a penalty and being reduced to 10 men to cruise past Spalding.
The home side had all the early play but it was the Tulips who took an early lead after Lewis Riley-Stewart tripped a Spalding player and Joel Brownhill converted.
The Scholars equalised in the 20th minute. Liam Kirton motored into the box and squared the ball for Joe Brown to score.
The hosts were reduced to ten men when Spalding’s Scott Floyd clashed with Brown. Floyd escaped sanction but Brown received a second yellow.
