RUNCORN LINNETS edged a close derby match against 10-man Marine in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Trophy.
The match passed a 10am pitch inspection, allowing the Linnets to host their first ever home match in the FA Trophy.
It was an emotional one for Runcorn as they paid tribute before the kick-off to lifelong supporter Lee Chesterton, who recently died.
