STIMSON TOO STRONG FOR BASILDON

CHARLIE STIMSON’S hat-trick steered Hornchurch into the FA Trophy Third Round Qualifying as the visitors dismantled Basildon.
Marvin Morgan, Daniel Uchechi and substitute Lewis Spence were also on the scoresheet for the visitors, while Ernest Okoh scored a 79th-minute consolation for Basildon.
Morgan headed the visitors into the lead from George Saunders’ deep corner with 14 minutes played before Stimson doubled the Urchins’ lead in the 38th minute with an unopposed header from another Saunders corner.
