TWO-TIME FA Trophy winners York City were knocked out at the third qualifying stage after a second 1-0 home reverse to Altrincham this month.
There was a strong sense of deja-vu at York’s soon-to-bedemolished Bootham Crescent, as Jordan Hulme teed up Tom Peers for the only goal of the game – exactly the same combination who inflicted a first defeat in 22 matches on the hosts a fortnight earlier in the FA Cup.
