SOUTHPORT substitute Raul Correia’s late strike rescued the Sandgrounders from an early FA Trophy exit at Northern Premier League leaders South Shields.
Jack Sampson put the visitors ahead with the only goal of the first half, but Shields bounced back after the interval.
Two goals in seven minutes from Gary Brown and Jason Gilchrist turned the game on its head.
