IN a game of few clear-cut chances Marlow edged through to the next round. They took the lead on the half-hour mark when Devontae Romeo finished well from the edge of the box.
The lead was almost doubled soon after when Isaac Osei-Tutu’s shot was an inch too high and it could have been level just before the break but Lauris Chin shot tamely when on the end of a fine Phoenix Sports move. Marlow made it 2-0 shortly after the restart when James Clark capitalised on some defensive dithering to steal the ball, round the home keeper and stroke home a fine second goal.
