TOOTING and Mitcham eased into the third qualifying round with a goal in each half enough to see off Romford.
A comfortable win on paper, though the visitors enjoyed the lion’s share of possession but failed to trouble Gary Ross in the home goal.
Tooting took the lead in the 33rd minute when Daniel Williams broke clear of the visiting defence and unselfishly squared the ball to Troy Walters who toe-poked home. Williams himself added the second with 20 minutes left as he cut in from the right after another powerful run, and slotted the ball underneath Ashlee Jones.
