AVELEY 1 UXBRIDGE 2

■ UXBRIDGE continued their fine start to the season with victory at Aveley.
It was the hosts who dominated the first half and had more than enough chances to win the game before half-time, but a headed chance for Harry Gibbs and a flicked effort from George Sykes couldn’t break the deadlock.
In the second half Uxbridge capitalised on slack defending as Anthony Mendy scored with an acrobatic effort.
With Aveley going forward it left more time and space for Uxbridge who were clinical as Mahlondo Martin was allowed space to find the corner.
