■ A LOVELY lob by Jake Gordon and a goal from George Cox just before the break helped Great Wakering advance to the next round.
The visitors started brightly and took the lead in the ninth minute when Gordon caught out Chi keeper Kieran Magee from some distance.
Scott Jones might have levelled but hit a post sliding in behind fellow striker Callum Overton.
Magee then pulled off the save of the match when he palmed Gordon’s effort on to the woodwork.
