SUTTON Coldfield Town progressed to the next round in an uninspiring match at Ashby Avenue.
Lincoln United started the match brightly with a number of corners in the opening 10 minutes, but as the half progressed the Royals grew into the game, taking the lead through a Maxwell Brogan free-kick in the 24th minute.
Sutton Coldfield Town should have extended their lead early in the second half through a penalty, but Ellis Spencer kept the score to 1-0.
