■ PICKERING continued their good record in the Trophy albeit with a hardfought win against Ramsbottom.
The visitors squandered the best chances of a scrappy first half as Domaine Rouse and Jamie Rother both missed the target. Alhassane Keita smashed the ball home from the tightest of angles after 44 minutes to give the Pikes the half-time lead.
The visitors levelled the scores after 58 minutes when Steve Hoy forced the ball over the line and the linesman indicated a goal, one which Pickering didn’t dispute.
