■ HERNE Bay edged into next round after a tough battle with Sittingbourne.
After a very close first half in which chances were at a premium, the home side led through Johan Caney-Byran’s header – his fifth goal of the season – before Adem Ramadan levelled, slotting home past the advancing keeper.
Just after the hour-mark Kieron Campbell’s cross was deemed by the official to have been handled and Zak Ansah converted from the spot.
