ENFIELD TOWN edged out Met Police in a game of two halves – and two penalties – to book their place in the first round proper.
The visitors hadn’t lost on the road this season, while their fellow Step 3 opponents hadn’t been beaten at home.
The opening 45 minutes were all Enfield, however, and they thoroughly deserved to take the lead on 36 minutes, Lyle Della-Verde’s floated freekick finding Mo Faal via the head of Adam Cunnington.
