MORPETH Town progressed after a fine win over a spirited Pickering Town at Craik Park.
The Highwaymen were in a position of strength by half-time, thanks to Ryan Donaldson’s 29th-minute goal and Sam Hodgson’s 37th-minute driven effort.
Andrew Johnson made it three just before the 70-minute mark with a close-range finish, but Pickering kept at it and reduced the deficit with two Ben Clappison headers from set-plays.
