THE Scholars came out on top to win an entertaining Cup tie thanks to two goals from Kaz Sterling.
The first came on the halfhour, with Sterling finishing clinically following a break by Devonte Aransidia.
Bar keeper Haf Al-Droubi pulled off a series of spectacular saves at the start of the second half, denying Andy Giorgious, Jorge Djassi-Sambu and substitute Anthony MacDonald.
Having weathered the storm, Bar extended the lead through another Sterling goal following good work from Joe Boachie and Samson Esan.
