TAMWORTH controlled this Cup-tie, but it took a penalty shoot-out to decide the match.
Their two best chances fell to Shaquille McDonald, but neither were converted.
A rare attack from Spalding saw a free kick from Stefan Broccoli fisted by Jasbir Singh, but unfortunately Ben Hart, the Tamworth defender, was concussed and was immediately substituted.
Tamworth continued as before in the second half, and were rewarded with a headed goal by McDonald.
