HANWELL progressed to the next round after a win at the Simarco Stadium. They took the lead in the seventh minute through a good finish by Thomasz Siemenczuk.
The visitors were comfortable in a first half in which Harry Rush and Adam Laaref impressed.
A 55th minute own goal by Andy O’Brien brought Witham level, but Hanwell scored again four minutes later when Dan Carr expertly converted a free-kick.
Suaibo Balde nearly equalised in the 64th minute as the game opened up, with both sides looking to attack.
