■ BASILDON capitalised on a shambolic Welwyn GC defensive performance to move into the next round.
An eight-goal thriller at the Pexhurst Stadium, saw Kai Brown score a hat-trick for the Bees and Clyde Semazzi, whose left- wing play terrorised the home defence, also added a goal to cap his display. Substitute Ben Allen added the fifth goal. For WGC, Brad Wadkins got his first two goals of the campaign and should have had two more and James Kaloczi scored a sensational goal from almost the half-way line, striking a 50-yard effort into an unguarded net.
